Villa Maria Verde, Argentina

Argentina

Sustainable urban growth is at the heart of a pioneering demonstration project near Cordoba, Argentina.

We're helping bring together a whole host of environmental infrastructure to launch Villa Maria Verde as a model city for the 21st century. Connected to major urban hubs by a new highway, the 132ha site will incorporate mixed-use development and an eco-industrial park, generating 11,000 jobs.

Clean energy generation and sustainable infrastructure, such as storm water retention ponds and waste water treatment, set this scheme at the forefront of global eco-development. Energy efficient homes for up to 13,000 people cement the project's green credentials, and we're working closely with the client to ensure that ambitious concepts can be realised.

Future communities will benefit from our emphasis on environmental and air quality, landscaping, social diversity and mobility. As land is turned over from agriculture to urban settings, sound planning is vital for sustainable development.
